The Serious Bit

Kristin works works in the Retail team and recruits mid-level permanent candidates for the loyalty, leisure and hotels & restaurant sectors.

Kristin started her career in market research working both client and agency side before moving into recruitment. As a research analyst in the United States, she worked for a cinema screen advertising company supporting sales teams with market trends and consumer purchasing habits, which the sales team then used to inform their sales pitches and proposals.

Agency side, Kristin worked with FMCG clients in Australia on segmentation and behavioural studies. When she moved back home to Dublin, she decided to change tack in her career and started working for an Irish marketing recruitment agency before venturing over to London in 2012 and becoming a key part of the Stopgap team.

The Fun Bit

When I was little I wanted to be…

… an air hostess, because I thought it would be glamorous and lovely to see more of the world.

My worst job ever was...

…working on a conveyor belt in a fruit and vegetable factory in Koln, Germany on a summer break from university. I had to spend 10 hours each day standing over a conveyor belt picking the stones out of green beans. I was at the section when they had just been steamed so they were roasting hot! To this day I do not eat green beans and also I think I have minimal feeling in the tips of my fingers.

In my spare time you can find me...

…cycling, window shopping, going to concerts/shows or just chilling at home.

If I were a brand, I would be...

…Benefit Cosmetics, as I am delightfully quirky!
