The Serious Bit

Fiona works Wednesday to Friday and is in a job share with Andrea Camara who works on Mondays and Tuesdays. Fiona has gained a huge amount of FMCG experience in her marketing career and she looks after freelance roles in the automotive, beauty & cosmetics, consumer goods, electronics, entertainment, FMCG, food & drink, health, wellbeing & OTC, household, telecommunications sectors.

Fiona started out her working life in banking in New Zealand where her parents moved when she was 5. After moving back to the UK and working in international banking and property management, she finally settled as an FMCG marketer for 12 years.

Fiona first joined Stopgap in 2009 before heading back into FMCG marketing where, alongside big brand roles at the likes of Premier Foods (on Homepride, Bisto, Ambrosia and Sharwoods), Brakes (where her work on School Meals was highly commended at the Grocer Gold Awards) and Unilever (Surf and Persil), Fiona also managed to squeeze in the first year of an MBA.

We tempted her back in 2013 and she hasn't looked back!

The Fun Bit

When I was little I wanted to be…

…a police woman because I read too much Enid Blyton and wanted to solve crimes.

My first/worst ever job was…

…working as a junior in my father’s law firm in the school holidays and being asked to go to every other law firm in Auckland to pick up a verbal agreement form.

In my spare time you can find me…

…in the kitchen, trying out new recipes or wandering round the supermarket to see what new products have been launched

If I were a brand, I would be…

...Hotel Chocolat because it can be comforting, can be spicy, can be off the wall but always meets the requirement!

Thank you for your support in my job search. You are without a doubt one of the most professional and knowledgeable consultants I came into contact with, and there were a few!
