The Serious Bit

Zoe works Monday and Tuesday in a job share with Jane Stephens and recruits for freelance roles in the following sectors; Charity/Not-For-Profit, Education, Construction/Engineering, Government and Public Services and Pharmaceutical and Healthcare.

After deferring an MA course in cultural geography, Zoe took what she thought was a temporary job in an integrated agency as a PA in the Christmas season. The parties were so great she decided to stay and moved into account management working on through the line campaigns for clients such as London Transport and Mercedes before taking the plunge into the world of direct.

Clients Zoe's worked with include The AA, NatWest, 3 Mobile and Marks & Spencer. Zoe then moved to Sydney and eventually managed to escape agency life Starting at Stopgap Sydney in 2004 where she worked on both in house and agency roles on a freelance and permanent basis.

Now happily back in the UK, Zoe is part of our invaluable team covering consultants when they are away or extremely busy in order to ensure that our clients and candidates continue to receive the highest level of service possible.

The Fun Bit

When I was little I wanted to be...

...a cook after being inspired by the wonderful and unique Swedish Chef on The Muppets Show and my unrelenting love of cake!

The most daring thing I've done is...

...moving to Sydney with no job or home, just a suitcase.  It was meant to be a one year traveling trip but nearly 8 years later....

In my spare time you'll find me...

...before my toddlers came along, I used to enjoy frequent trips to the cinema (sometimes 3 times a week), pilates, triathlons (mini of course) and enjoying a lovely glass of wine but now you can either find me building elaborate train track layouts or going to the cinema (sometimes 3 times a year!).

I would like to pass on my thanks and admiration for your attention and delivery, I don't think I have ever come across recruitment professionals like you who took the time to ring and chase like you have and it was very much appreciated. You are obviously aiming for service par excellence and you certainly delivered and it should be recognised and applauded. You are a credit to Stopgap and the recruitment industry as a whole.

Zoe I cannot thank you enough for your support, your kind words, not to mention the professional help you’ve given me in the time I’ve known you.  I say this without reservation, you have helped change my life for the better – I’d not be happy, loving my work, and more importantly having the balance I have in my life right now if it was not for your support and encouragement.
